The Cabildo de La Palma has given this week to the Archaeological Museum of Fuerteventura, a series of archaeological remains belonging to the culture of the mahos, which until now had been guarded in the Benahoarita Museum of La Palma.

The ceremony of return of these materials was attended by the Minister of Culture and Heritage of the Cabildo de La Palma, Jovita Monterrey, the island’s Minister of Culture of Fuerteventura, Rayco Leon, and the Director General of Cultural Heritage of the Government of the Canary Islands, Nona Perera. Its development is part of the events planned to commemorate International Museum Day.

Monterrey recalled that the decision was taken with the idea of supporting the Majorero Archaeological Museum, “and what better than to celebrate the International Museum Day with this gesture of fraternity, to bring the materials to their place of belonging, to be studied together with the rest of the pieces of the aboriginal culture, and to do it not only because the Law says so”. Likewise, he trusts that it will serve as an example so that each island can recover what is theirs, for its later dissemination and study.

Las personas interesadas en adoptar un niño, tanto en España como en el extranjero, encontrarán información sobre los procedimientos de adopción nacional e internacional en esta sección de la Consejería de Bienestar Social, Juventud y Vivienda del Gobierno de Canarias.

Los residentes en la Comunidad Autónoma de Canarias que deseen adoptar un niño, o un grupo de hermanos, deberán presentar su solicitud, así como el cuestionario de motivación de la adopción y demás documentación necesaria, en el Registro Central de la Oficina Central de Protección del Menor y la Familia.
